The 20th century has been called the "century of genocide". In addition to the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust, there have been many other acts of civil injustice, from mass killings to exiles to deprivations of fundamental rights.
To promote a better understanding of these events, CPIE is developing curriculum units on several of these issues. We hope that these units will be useful to secondary teachers, students, and anyone seeking a better understanding of how such events began and how they can be prevented.
CPIE will also post and share ideas for action. We will be one another's eyes and ears to uncover intolerance and to promote the end of injustice.
